Did you know?

In 1905, C&NW Ry. Co. decided to lay a railroad extending from Green Bay to Eland Junction, and the place now known as Bowler became one of the stops. The name “Bowler” arose from the attorney employed by the railroad: J C Bowler.

A community built on lumber.

With the new railroad providing easy access to shipping plus the best hardwood timber in all of Wisconsin, Bowler quickly became a beehive of lumbermen and loggers, catapulting Bowler into a busting community.

The Price of Learning

The first ever school in Bowler was built on just 24x36 feet of foundation, and the total price of construction was a whopping $469.99!

Preserve the storied past of Bowler, Wisconsin and surrounding townships and let generations live on.
